Marchenko beat Istomin 6-3, 2-2 ret. Istomin retires after a set an a half, leaving Marchenko to continue.

Ram beat Andujar 6-3, 6-7(5), 6-3. Ram needs 3 sets to beat Andujar.

Hanescu beat Zeballos 6-2, 6-0. The eighth seed destroys Zeballos, losing just 2 games.

Mathieu beat Gonzalez 6-4, 6-3. Mathieu drops 7 games to beat Gonzalez in 2 sets.

Tipsarevic  beat Kunitsyn 6-4, 6-2. The third seed eases past Kunitsyn.

Tursunov beat Przysiezny 3-6, 6-3, 6-2. Tursunov wins in 3 sets.


Open Sud de France


Dent beat Jouan 6-7(5), 6-3, 6-4. Dent loses the first set in a tie breaker but comes back in the next 2 sets to win.

Zverev beat Haase 7-6(7), 7-6(5). The number 1 in qualifying wins 2 tie breakers to go to round 2.

Mannarino beat Lacko 6-3, 6-7(4), 6-4. Lacko first saves 4 match points at 5-4 down and later saves 2 match points at 5-2, and breaks serve, and 1 match point at 5-4 but finally succumbs to lose the final set 6-4, leaving the french man to advance to round 2.

Darcis beat Schwank 6-2, 7-5. Schwank is beaten by a qualifier in straight sets.

Isner beat Paire 7-5, 6-2. The fifth seed eases into the second round.

Llodra beat Rochus 2-3 ret. Rochus retires after just 5 games.

Nalbandian beat Granollers 6-4, 6-4. The eighth seed beats Granollers in straight sets.


ATP Vienna Open


Gulbis retires due to personal reasons so the lucky loser, Haider-Maurer, replaces him.


Berrer beat Garcia-Lopez 6-3, 4-6, 7-5. The sixth seed is shocked in the first round in 3 sets.

Cuevas beat De Bakker 7-6(6), 1-6, 6-4. Cuevas continues from his great form from last week, by beating De Bakker in 3 sets.

Kubot beat Blake 6-4, 6-4. Blake is beaten in straight sets by Kubot.

Giraldo beat Malisse 6-4, 1-6, 6-1. Giraldo does well to win in 3 sets.

Zemlja beat Ilhan 4-6, 6-1, 7-5. Ilhan loses in 3 close sets to Zemlja, who overcame a one set deficit.

Federer beat Mayer 6-4, 6-3. Federer wins his 64th title by beating Mayer in straight sets. This means he has equalled the Pete Sampras in fourth on the amount of titles having been won in Open Era.

Troicki beat Zeballos 6-2, 6-1. Troicki destroys Zeballos to advance to the Semi-Finals.

Istomin beat Kunitsyn 6-2, 6-4. Istomin easily beats Kunitsyn to continue to the Semi-Finals.

Baghdatis beat Dolgopolov 6-2, 7-6(7). The last seed left in the draw eases into the Semi-Finals.

Nieminen beat Blake 6-0, 6-2. Nieminen destroys Blake, dropping 2 games, continuing a great run of post US Open tournaments.

Istomin beat Mathieu 1-6, 7-5, 6-3. Istomin needs 3 sets to beat Mathieu from a set down.

Blake beat Bachinger 6-4, 3-6, 7-6(2). Blake works very hard to advance to the Quarter Finals.
