Gasquet beat Melzer 6-1, 6-3. The 18th seed eases past the 10th seed at the cost of just 4 games.

Troicki beat Llodra 6-3, 6-3. The 16th seed has no trouble beating the 24th seed in straight sets.

Djokovic beat Gulbis 6-0, 6-1. The third seed thrashes the 31st seed, losing just 1 game.

Berdych beat Bellucci 6-3, 6-2. The seventh seed eases past the 26th seed in straight sets.

Wawrinka beat Cilic 7-5, 6-3. The 12th seed needs just 2 sets to beat the 17th seed.

Harrison beat Raonic 7-6(1), 4-6, 6-4. The two wild cards face off and Harrison finishes the match in 3 sets.

Federer beat Chela 6-0, 6-2. The second seed lost just 2 games on the way to thrashing the 29th seed.

WTA BNP Paribas Open


Wozniacki beat Kleybanova 2-6, 6-3, 6-1. The top seed has to come back from a set down to beat the 22nd seed and advance to the Quarter Finals.

Azarenka beat Radwanska 4-6, 6-3, 7-6(3). The eighth seed comes back from a set down to beat the ninth seed in 3 sets.

Sharapova beat Safina 6-2, 6-0. The 16th seed thrashes the former world number 1, dropping just 2 games.

Peng beat Petrova 6-4, 5-7, 6-3. Peng needs 3 sets to overcome the 18th seed.

Peer beat Schiavone 6-4, 3-6, 7-6(3). The tenth seed needs 3 sets to beat the fifth seed.

Wickmayer beat Cibulkova 7-5, 7-5. The 23rd seed beats the 25th seed in straight sets.

Ivanovic beat Jankovic 6-4, 6-2. The 19th seed eases past the sixth seed in straight sets.

Bartoli beat Clisters 3-6, 3-1 ret. The 15th seed wins, after the second seed retires with injury to her shoulder.
