ATP Valencia Open and ATP Basel 500

Nadal has retired from the ATP Paris 1000 tournament next week, breaking a run of participating in 18 consecutive ATP Masters 1000 tournaments. He has retired due to medical issues but should play at the ATP World Tour Finals.


ATP Basel 500


Djokovic beat Haase 6-2, 6-3. The second seed eases past Haase into the Semi-Finals.

Troicki beat Gasquet 6-4, 6-2. Troicki eases past Gasquet and will meet his fellow Serbian, Djokovic, in the Semi-Finals.

Roddick beat Nalbandian 6-4, 6-4. The fourth seed advances to the Semi-Finals strengthening his chances to qualify for the ATP World Tour Finals.

Federer beat Stepanek 6-3, 6-2. Federer eases into the Semi-Finals in front of his home crowd, dropping just 5 games against Stepanek.

ATP Valencia Open


Granollers beat Monaco 1-6, 6-3, 6-4. The lucky loser comes back from a set down to beat Monaco and advance to the Semi-Finals.

Simon beat Davydenko 6-4, 6-7(5), 6-3. The sixth seed is shocked by Simon in the Quarter Finals in a close 3 set match, potentially ending Davydenko's chances of qualifying for the ATP World Tour Finals.

Soderling beat Monfils 6-3, 6-2. The second seed eases past the eighth seed into the Semi-Finals.

Ferrer beat Starace 7-5, 6-4. The fourth seed wins a close 2 set match to advance to the Semi-Finals.
