Jurgen Melzer was born on the 22nd May 1981 in Vienna, Austria. He has had a long career but has only shown his best form in 2010 as he has reached a top rank of world number 12 on the 11th October in singles and 6th rank in September. As well as improvement in rankings he has improved in Grand Slams reaching 1 Semi-Final and 2 4th rounds, when before this year he hadn't bettered the third round.
