Djokovic beat Nadal 6-2, 6-4, 6-7(3), 6-1. The world number 1 wins his first US Open against the second seed. Personally I believe there is some controversy, when an obviously tired Djokovic takes an injury time out almost just after losing the 3rd set, which I think was for a rest, but that is in my opinion. Also not happy about the crowd making noise on Nadal's serve, which probably cost him his service game at 2-0 in the 2nd set. But in the end of the day Djokovic won and nothing can change that.

Murray beat Melzer 6-3, 6-1, 6-1. The fifth seed eases past the 11th seed at the cost of just 5 games.

Ferrer beat Raonic 4-6, 6-2, 6-3, 6-4. The seventh seed comes back from a set down to overcome Raonic.


Nadal beat Cilic 6-2, 6-4, 6-3. The world number 1 eases past the 15th seed in straight sets.

Federer beat Robredo 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2. The world number 2 and defending champion has some trouble beating Robredo in 4 sets.

Djokovic beat Almagro 6-3, 6-4, 6-0. The world number 3 finishes a straight set win over the 14th seed with a bagel to advance to the Quarter Finals.
