ATP Beijing


Ljubicic beat Murray 6-3, 6-2. Ljubicic continues a great run into the Semi-Finals, after easing past Murray.

Isner beat Davydenko 7-6(2), 6-4. Davydenko goes out early again at Beijing, after Isner beat him in straight sets, hitting 18 aces.

Ferrer beat Soderling 6-2, 6-4. Soderling is destroyed by Ferrer, as another high seed falls at Beijing. He will aim to stop a Ljubicic's run.

Djokovic beat Simon 6-3, 6-2. Djokovic coasts into the Semi-Finals with a straight set win. He will play Isner in the next round.

SEMI-FINALS ANALYSIS


Ljubicic vs Isner: Both players are in great form, both taking big players out, but I think Ljubicic will be the victor in straight sets, after his great form, in general, on hard court.

Ferrer vs Djokovic: Djokovic is in great form after making the final at the US Open, however, Ferrer has beaten many good players recently. So I think Djokovic will win in a close 3 set match.

ATP Tokyo


Monfils beat Roddick 7-6(5), 4-6, 7-6(6). Monfils wins 2 tie breaks and saves a match point to advance to the Semi-Finals, while Roddick's ATP tour finals chances were given a blow.

Stepanek beat Nieminen ret. Nieminen doesn't show up on court, after retiring due to fever. Stepanek gets his second retirement, at Tokyo and will face Monfils in the next round.

Troicki beat Garcia-Lopez 6-2, 3-6, 6-4. The winner at Bangkok exits at the Quarter Finals, as predicted, after a three set match against Troicki.

Nadal beat Tursunov 6-4, 6-1. Nadal destroys Tursunov in straight sets, to set up a Semi-Finals match with Troicki.

SEMI-FINALS ANALYSIS


Monfils vs Stepanek: Monfils is in great form, after great runs in the last few tournaments but Stepanek hasn't been tested and has had two opponents retire. I see Monfils winning in straight sets.

Troicki vs Nadal: Troicki has been playing well, but Nadal has been in overpowering form recently, I think Nadal will take the match in straight sets.

WTA Beijing

Peer beat Bacsinszky 7-6(4), 6-4. Peer is made to work into the Semi-Finals.

Wozniacki beat Ivanovic 7-6(1), 6-4. The new world number 1 needs one tie breaker to advance to the Semi-Finals. She will play Peer for a place in the Final.

Li beat Sevastova 7-6(6), 6-3. The last Chinese left in the draw advances into the Semi-Finals.

Zvonareva beat Schiavone 6-0, 6-2. Zvonareva rips Schiavone to shreds, to become the new world number 3. She will play Li in the Semi-Finals.

SEMI-FINALS ANALYSIS


Peer vs Wozniacki: Wozniacki has been in great form, becoming the new number 1, while Peer hasn't pulled anything spectacular off. So I see Wozniacki prevailing in 2 sets.

Li vs Zvonareva: The chinese sensation versus the new world number 3, this will be a very close match but I think Li will prevail in 3 sets, with the help of the crowd.
