ATP St Petersburg Open, Open Sud de France, ATP Vienna Open and WTA Doha Championship

ATP St Petersburg Open


Kukushkin beat Tipsarevic 7-5, 3-6, 6-4. The third seed is shocked in a 3 set match against Kukushkin.

Marchenko beat Becker 6-4, 2-6, 6-2. Both players had conquered seeds in the tournament but Marchenko is the one to advance to the Semi-Finals in 3 sets.

Youzhny beat Hanescu 6-7(5), 6-3, 7-6(6). The eighth seed saves 1 match point before the top seed prevails in a third set tie breaker.

Tursunov beat Dolgopolov 6-4, 6-2. Tursunov continues a great tournament with a convincing straight sets over Dolgopolov.

Open Sud de France


Montanes beat Davydenko 3-6, 7-6(3), 7-6(4). The top seed is shocked by the sixth seed in 3 close sets, needing two tie breakers to win.

Monfils beat Isner 3-6, 6-4, 6-4. The third seed comes back from a set down to beat the fifth seed.

Ljubicic beat Nieminen 4-6, 6-3, 7-6(6). Very close 3 set match ends with the fourth seed winning.

Tsonga beat Simon 6-3, 6-7, 6-3. The third seed advances to the Semi-Finals, with a 3 set win over Simon.

ATP Vienna Open


Almagro beat Chela 7-5, 3-6, 6-3. The third seed needs 3 sets to beat the eighth seed.

Haider Maurer beat Cilic 7-6(1), 6-4. The second seed is beaten by a man who wouldn't be here if Gulbis hadn't retired. The lucky loser continues ti the Semi-Finals.

Berrer beat Baghdatis 5-7, 6-1, 6-4. The fourth seed is shocked in the Quarter Finals by Berrer.

WTA Doha Championship


Schiavone beat Dementieva 6-4, 6-2. Dementieva is beaten quickly in straight sets, but shocks the audience when she announces retirement after over a decade of top 20 tennis.

Zvonareva  beat Clisters 6-4, 7-5. The second seed beats the third seed in straight sets, however, both will advance to the next round.

Azarenka beat Jankovic 6-4, 6-1. Azarenka beats Jankovic in straight sets, but both crash out of the tournament, Jankovic without a win.
