Mikhail Youzhny was born on the 25th June 1982 in Moscow, Russia, Soviet Union. He has reached a top rank of world number 8 on the 28th January 2008, he dropped down since then but has now regained his best form, reaching the Semi-Finals of The US Open. He has never reached a grand slam final but has reached two Semi-Finals.  His record in grand slams is 68-38:16-10 in the Australian Open, 15-10 in the French Open, 19-10 in Wimbledon and 18-8 in the US Open.
