Federer beat Lacko 6-1, 6-1, 6-3. The world number 2 and defending champion drops just 5 games on the way to advancing to the second round.

Djokovic beat Granollers 6-1, 6-3, 6-1. The world number 3 eases past Granollers in straight sets, at the cost of 5 games.

Berdych beat Crugnola 6-4, 6-0, 6-2. The sixth seed beats the qualifier in straight sets, winning a second set bagel.

Roddick beat Hajek 6-1, 6-2, 6-2. The eighth seed has no trouble beating Hajek in straight sets.

Verdasco beat Schuettler 6-1, 6-3, 6-2. Verdasco performs well in his 3 set beating of Schuettler.

Monfils beat De Bakker 6-7(5), 2-6, 7-5, 6-2, 6-1. The 12th seed comes back to 2 sets to love , 5-2 down to some how overcome De Bakker in an epic come back.

Almagro beat Robert 6-4, 6-3, 6-7(4), 7-5. The fourteenth seed needs 4 sets to beat Robert.

Fish beat Hanescu 2-6, 4-6, 6-3, 7-5, 6-3. The 16th seed needs to work hard to beat Hanescu, coming back from 2 sets down.

Ljubicic beat Luczak 6-3, 6-3, 7-6(2). The seventeenth seed needs 3 sets and a tie breaker to beat Luczak.

Kubot beat Querrey 5-7, 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 8-6. Kubot takes an epic last set to overcome the 18th seed in 5 sets.

Wawrinka beat Gabashvili 7-6(3), 6-4, 6-4. The 19th seed needs 3 close sets to beat Gabashvili.

Mayer beat Davydenko 6-3, 4-6, 7-6(4), 6-4. Mayer shocks the 23rd seed in 4 sets.

Montanes beat Brown 6-4, 6-2, 3-6, 2-6, 7-5. The 25th seed wins the first 2 sets and a fifth set to beat Brown.

Monaco beat Greul 7-6(5), 7-6(4), 6-2. The 26th seed needs 2 tie breakers but still wins in straight sets against Greul.

Gasquet beat Dancevic 6-3, 6-4, 6-4. The 29th seed needs just 3 sets to beat Dancevic.

Troicki beat Tursunov 6-2, 3-6, 6-2, 6-0. The 29th seed finishes a 4 set match with a bagel.

Mannarino beat Harrison 6-4, 6-3, 6-4. Mannarino is victorious in 3 sets.

Simon beat Lu 6-7(3), 6-2, 6-4, 6-2. Simon recovers from losing a first set tie breaker to win in 4 sets.

Robredo beat Devvarman 7-6(4), 6-3, 6-4. Robredo needs 3 sets and a tie breaker to win.

Nishikori beat Fognini 6-1, 6-4, 6-7(4), 6-4. The japanese star needs 4 sets to beat Fognini.

Malisse beat Andujar 6-1, 6-2, 7-6(3). Malisse needs 3 sets and a tie breaker to beat Andujar.

Dimitrov beat Golubev 6-1, 6-4, 6-2. Golubev is beaten in straight sets by Dimitrov.

Gil beat Cuevas 6-4, 6-7(9), 4-6, 6-3, 9-7. Gil needs an epic 5 set match, including a 16 game final set to beat Cuevas.

Paire beat Cipolla 6-1, 7-5, 6-1. No trouble Cipolla, as Paire goes to round 2.

Kohlschreiber Kamke 1-6, 4-6, 7-6(6), 6-4, 6-4. Kohlschreiber comes back from two sets down to win 3 close sets at the end.

Dodig beat Karlovic 6-4, 3-6, 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-4. Dodig wins the last 2 sets to beat the big serving croat in 5 sets.

Stakhovsky beat Brands 6-2, 6-3, 6-4. Brands is beaten in 3 sets.

Mahut beat Dabul 6-3, 6-4, 6-4. Mahut needs just 3 sets to dispose of Dabul.

Tipsarevic beat Zverev 6-3, 6-1, 6-4. Tipsarevic has no trouble beating Zverev.

Haase beat Berlocq 6-4, 6-3, 7-6(5). Haase needs 3 sets and a tie breaker to win.

Andreev beat Volandri 6-3, 7-6(3), 6-3. Andreev wins in 3 sets.

Kunitsyn beat Przysiezny 6-7(1), 6-4, 6-4, 7-6(6). Kunitsyn comes back from losing a first set tie breaker to finish the match with a fourth set tie breaker.
